Bella Webb

fashion journalist

Central Saint Martins

I completed an MA in Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martins in 2019, graduating with a Distinction and winning the Marc Worth Award for Fashion Journalism.

In 2020, I returned as an Associate Lecturer, helping to embed sustainability into the curriculum and support students across Fashion Communication pathways (BA and MA) in developing sustainability literacy.

A selection of additional special projects are included below.

Manifesto for sustainable fashion communication
As an associate lecturer on the MA Fashion Communication course (covering journalism, image-making and criticism), I deliver an annual introductory lecture on sustainable fashion. In 2020, this was followed by a series of workshops applying the lecture to the students’ practice. The resulting manifesto was presented in December 2020, to be applied to all three course pathways from January 2021.

L’Oréal Professionnel
2020 marked the 20th anniversary of L’Oréal Professionnel sponsoring the CSM fashion shows, so we made a magazine to mark the occasion. Text commissioned and edited by me, featuring interviews with notable CSM alumni like Matty Bovan and Grace Wales Bonner. Print magazine available in L’Oréal salons across the UK.
